Girl Saves Little Sister from Drowning in a Swimming Pool

Let’s start with a feel-good rescue story. In this story, 10-year-old Jayla Dallis saved her little sister from drowning at a community swimming pool. Her 3-year-old sister Kayli had jumped into the water with a green floating tube around her waist. Unfortunately, the girl flipped over in the tube, leaving her head submerged under water. One of the methods for teaching young ones to swim is called Infant Swimming Resource. You can learn all about ISR in this blog post.

Phoenix fire officials said the little girl’s parents were not home at the time of the incident, but an older family member was babysitting. This illustrates the importance of active supervision. A child should be watched closely at all times.
